Best Girls Weekend Getaway

Are you looking for the perfect girls weekend getaway that is only two hours from Atlanta, Charlotte and Chattanooga? My girlfriend and I found the place!! Hayesville North Carolina in this waterfront cabin on Lake Chatuge. While this fully renovated home sleeps 13, it was also perfectly cozy and comfortable for two on this great fall weekend.

Friday Night - Live music at Crane Creek Vineyards
We spent Friday night at Crane Creek Vineyards listening to live music, enjoying the fire pit, noshing on cheese and crackers and tasting a wide variety of wines that we loved! The atmosphere was perfect for talking, relaxing and enjoying each others company. There was space between tables and overhead heaters so we were not chilly at all (we were there in November) and we brought a small lap blanket just in case.
Details: Ongoing between 6 pm- 8 pm on Fridays (May - Nov.). Delicious small plates catered by Paris & Company. Feel free to spread out on the vineyard grounds–there is plenty of space to keep a safe distance from others! If you have a group of 5 or more, please consider arriving early so you can have all the space you might need.
Saturday Shopping Spree!
Saturday was spent shopping and helping contribute to the local economy in Hayesville and Hiawassee! Some of our favorite shops were within 10 minutes of our house.

Britt & Capri - Great clothes for women (Be sure to check out the sales racks in the back!)
Tigers Department Store - Stuff… all kinds of awesome stuff! Clothes, jewelry, gifts, ice cream (Yup!)… This one is in Hayesville on the darling town square.

Dinner: The Crown Brasstown
We finished Saturday night off with a wonderful dinner at The Crown Brasstown. This was about 20 minutes drive from where we were but I had read great reviews and wanted to try it mysefl!! I only have cell phone photos of this meal and it simply does not do it justice. It was DELICIOUS and were able to sit outside by the fire pit, socially distance and enjoy wine and amazing food. We did not arrive early enough to enjoy the goats that they have living on this beautiful property. Enjoy the less than perfect images … I guess this means I will have to go back again with my camera so I can get better photos. Oh the hardships…
